Welcome Back Students!

Sorry that it has been so long since the last post, but we have had a long vacation and I am back and ready to keep you updated with what is going on in our class.

The following video shows what the students have been up to in the first semester of school. You can get a good idea that the students have been working very hard in 4th grade.

What can we expect to learn about this semester?

English

We will continue to read different stories and books throughout the upcoming semester. Students will also be able to borrow books to take home a read. We will be focusing more on informational writing as well as working to better our handwriting. Our goal will to be to try to increase the student's reading level.

Math

We are going learn about measurement, shapes, graphing, as well as multiplying two and three digit numbers.

Science

We will be learning about the different body systems such as the circulatory system, digestive system, respiratory system, and skeletal system. Will will also be reviewing phases of the moon, and properties of energy.

Homework- We are going to be using different resources for homework this semester:

Student Text Books
Worksheets
Projects
Reading Books
Online Homework
Website games
Scootpad.com

We will also be writing our homework down everyday in our student agenda books, so you parents can see what the homework is each and everyday!

EMSA
The EMSA exam will be coming up before we know it, so we are going to try to get your students as prepared as possible. You can also help by reviewing questions with your students at home.

Here are some pictures from right before break:

I look foward to having you back in class, but remember to always:

Be Safe

Be Responsible

Be Kind and Respectful

and Be a Leader
